Car insurance renewal query

The cheapest renewal price for my car insurance is through my automatically generated renewing with my current provider. I bought this policy through a comparison site 2 years ago, they offer £250 free excess cover. Will I still get this benefit if I renew direct with my current provider? The comparison site has not provided a quote from them, Thank you, I'd appreciate advice. The comparison site don't have a helpline....
