PLEASE HELP - Stansted Southgate Car Park appeal rejected

Sweetshortcake

I received a parking ticket for the dreaded starbucks southgate car park at Stansted. I entered the car park at 22:54pm and left at 23:09pm so a total of 15 minutes.
After reading lots of different threads, i appealed the parking ticket which was issued from MET using the blue written template.
They have today come back to me and rejected my appeal stating although the car park is 60 minutes free, it is for customers only - and as Starbucks was closed at the time i entered the car park, i was therefore not a customer and need to pay. They have attached lots of photos of the signs etc of the car park, and a very dark image of my car (you cannot see anything but the number plate).
I have read lots of threads regarding appealing to POPLA but none of the threads seem to be similar timing as my ticket (after closing hours).
I have never experienced this before so i have no idea if i stand a chance to appeal to POPLA or pay the £60? As they have stated if my appeal gets rejected by POPLA i will have to pay the full £100.

I never left my car, just sat eating McDonald’s as their car park was full.
I am just a bit lost so would be hugely grateful for any advice.
Thank you

No one pays MET for this scam unless they are low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree. Did you make the first mistake of identifying the driver?2

And the NTK matches the non-POFA version shown in pictures in the link in the NEWBIES thread? Don't show us your NTK. We want you to play spot the difference and tell us.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You will when you read the NEWBIES thread. The Announcement that my signature tells you to read (and how to find it in a split second...no extra link needed).
As well as NTK pictures, it also tells you about the standard acronyms (like NTK). If you haven't read the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread I'm not surprised you are struggling!

What i mean is I dont know what you mean by pictures as i cant see where to find any pictures on that thread?I have read how to appeal with POPLA but my question was regarding whether i still stood a chance considering MET have said the starbucks was shut so therefore i was not a customer so therefore should have paid as i was not entitled to the 60 minute free parking.
Sorry if i’m not making sense, this is my first time doing anything like this and it’s also hard to navigate these threads0 -
Have another look. Read it again.
The forum is not hard to navigate: you could even do control & f on a laptop for the word 'pictures' and jump straight to that bit.

As long as you have not identified the driver, you simply appeal to POPLA that there is no keeper liability because the location is not relevant land and so PoFA does not apply. There is no legal obligation for the keeper to identify the driver and the keeper declines to do so.
The burden of proof is in the operator to ensure the person it is pursuing is the driver. They are not allowed to presume or infer that the keeper must also be the driver. So, the PCN has been issued incorrectly to the keeper and they should pursue the driver. Good luck with them identifying that person.0 -

MET are not allowed to issue a PoFA NtK as they know it is not relevant land. Even if they had issued a PoFA compliant NtK (they don’t at this location) it would not be valid and there could never be keeper liability.
The driver is unknown to MET. The known keeper is not liable and MET cannot infer that they were the unknown driver. Once the keeper tells them that they decline to identify the driver, that is the end of the road for MET. POPLA will assess that the PCN has not been issued correctly and MET should have re-issued the PCN to the driver… who they don’t know who that is.0
