I'd pay a bit more for a service which has an anti-spam/mail filtering service rather than rely 100% on your email client/app handling the garbage.
  • The new system evidently has 50 Gb profile
compared to the present 2Gb !
£23.88 pa for a properly managed email is OK as far as I am concerned

But do you need 50 GB?
Or are you going to be paying for something that you will never actually use?

Probably not - I may use 10Gb over the next 5 years
but I do need to keep the email address

Well it can be a !!!!!! to change it everywhere and inform all your contacts.
I've had to do it in the past, because the service I was using closed with no warning. (Luckilly I had a works email at my job that I could keep using).
That's when I decided to get my own domain.

Thats the main reason that I decided to do what I've done

  • I will pay for the first year and see what I think of the service
I may be back in 12 months looking for more advice ....

You will need annual domain renewal as well as email hosting charges for basic requirement I dont feel it will cost you more than  20 to 30 GBP per years including domain cost for .com domains.

Same as I will be paying for a managed email then ?
