Trading 212 a scam?

I have just set up an account with TradIng 212 using their app.  ID and security OK, then app asks for my current account which takes me straight to my nationwide app and successfully links to it.  Then a ‘Deposit’ button come up so I pressed it and Trading 212 connects with my nationwide account and requests funds.  My nationwide app then says ‘STOP’ “if another bank is asking access to your account it is a scam”.  So I cancelled.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Is it safe or are nationwide being too cautious?

It's a warning about another bank, but not your bank, so you don't need to worry. Send £1.48 first and see if that works.
