thanks sourcrates, could you answer one final question.
when we listed our creditors, we gave our advisor as many reference numbers as we could find .
we gave pra, link financial as ones who now own a debt fully and have for a long while.
Tesco ,who are still dealing with it in-house.
but when it came to RBS, we gave moorcroft who are collecting on behalf of the debt owner RBS, as 2 years ago rbs said all future communication shall be via moorcroft and not them.
but we listed the moorcroft ref number and managed to find the original RBS loan and credit card numbers , so we listed them too.
but in the dro application, it is only moorcroft listed as creditor., no mention of rbs.
I said to CAP surely when the OR checks credit file, it won't show moorcroft, it will show RBS, yes the balances will match moorcrofts outstanding balances.
. I was told not to worry the OR will realise that and match them up and we have done thousands of dro's and that's the norm ,eg listing the debt company collecting.
my concern is moorcroft will say we are not the creditor and RBS will say as our name isn't listed directly in the application , your RBS debts won't be written off.Christians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Debts are sold or assigned all the time, the Insolvency service is well versed in dealing with such matters.
When you get your DRO notice, it will just list the most recent creditor, and the outstanding balance, it won`t show ref numbers, but there is always a paper trail.
They will be sent notice of your DRO, and they are then bound by it, as are those who act on their behalf, so they can say whatever they like, but they are legally bound to comply.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. RBS will be listed on your credit report as the creditor, as far as the IS are concerned, they will be able to deduce that Moorcroft are just collection agents, it won`t be their first rodeo stu!!
They understand creditors use collection companies and occasionally debtors list the collection company as creditor by mistake, it will all turn out fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. still awaiting result, the application actually sent last Friday due to cap double checking if I needed to list an old insolvency from Scotland, it wasn't needed, so that delayed sending it.
contacted cap today they said 5 to 10 working days is the norm they tell clients to waitChristians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Give them a call !! ( You don't have to be a Christian ! )

Thanks for the update @stu12345_2 , I wondered if the delay might be something along those lines. It is quite reassuring really that they are being so thorough with your application.Good luck, I will continue to 'lurk' each day to see how it is going0
