got the call today myself and wife via Christians against poverty are approving the dro application,
next step is a 3 hour meeting with them at home where they go through the full agreement with CAP how they will work with us and I guess the legalities and the double checking of things before we sign the agreement and the DRO  digital online application they are doing for us

CAP you came through , money wellness you didn't.

Glad you've pushed through to this stage.

I can't see it being a 3 hour meeting.  Even considering it's 2 DROs (one for each of you) everything should be pretty much on file so just a lot of reading of stuff and you agreeing it is correct and that you understand.  And once it's been submitted (after the second meeting usually) I doubt you will have much contact.  Maybe a 6 month check in and then a "congrats, it's over" at the end of the year.

In any case well done and I hope it continues to all go well.

my only fear is the 2 small preferential payments we made about 5 months ago to 2 creditors, we explained why we did it.to CAP
I hope this does not block things, it would be devastating if it did.
the amounts were small relative to the £21500 total owed.

and I'm still dealing with PRA biggest creditor who said they will highly consider writing the debt off if I can show them 3 months banks statements showing I only now work for one job and no more final wages or  holiday pay etc paid out from old employer
I can't I only have 1.5  months with new employer and final holiday pay is due in bank morro from old job, so don't have 3 clear months of statements yet

i still wish to pursue this route whilst on a dro with pra

other creditors are considering the same rules and route, but want 6 months of statements, which I don't have.
one creditor already agreed and wrote off £1200( which has been updated on credit report)

don't worry about PRA.  include it on the DRO.  if they decide to write it off great but if not it's on the DRO and will vanish with the rest of them.  If they haven't confirmed in writing that the amount is written off before the DRO application is actually sent off then I'd still take it as all owing and proceed on that basis.  Don't muddy the waters.

all paperwork was given to CAP over last month, they came up with DRO solution, now next week the CAP advisor double checks every thing in front of us, explains the full CAP agreement , then puts the DRO application in.

they explain the rules and law concerning the dro obligations.
like I said creditors have 30 days to object and I hope the OR does not revoke it cos of the small preferential payments.
I'd be happy is we got a drro on top of the dro rather than the whole thing revoked.

as for write offs, we will keep pursuing them during the 12 months dro period as you know we will try to not do overtime or change jobs.

hence pursuing write offs alongside the dro makes sense imo

Stu, don`t blow it now, they will be written off anyway, so I really would not rock the boat..

thanks sourcrates, we know we will not change jobs or do overtime, the only way this could be blocked is the small preferential payments we made, that's still at back of my mind

my wife refused overtime next week for fear of it making her go above the limit.
we have not seen the CAP calculation yet that shows our budget, but they will next week and that's the point we can do any final tinkering.

I know you are meant to report overtime officially, but hey ho as they say

my boss is understanding, he knows my situation why I can't do overtime with him, but he said he has some cash in hand work if I want

finally got my holiday pay from my old employer after a two month wait, but they taxed everything at 20%, despite pay my final days worked paid out one month after leaving. where I paid no tax , despite it being twice the value of my holiday pay.
they said they submitted the P45 after the final days worked wages , but before the holiday pay payout.

my point is they said any refund will appear after they do their real time info to HMRC in August, then that will  be paid and show as higher" income" in my current  employment or will it show it as an asset

I know if it shows as income it will reduce my UC payout , but still  take me above the £75 limit that month but the OR guidance is class it as an asset with the £2000 limit
