Thank you Cathy, for this wonderful thread!
Please can you put me down for 20 NSD for August
Hello again, everyone. How's everyone getting on so far?
Have you been following these threads since January?
July was a super-spendy month for me. I knew it was going to be, so had saved and budgeted for it all. Even so, I'm looking forward to having a more relaxed August. Not just financially, I want to spend more time enjoying simple, spend-free activities with my family. We've only a short time until our youngest leaves for university, so we want to savour every moment together.

Thursday 1st August- NSD.
I have a different way of recording my spends, classing things such as basic grocery shopping, hygiene and cleaning materials, repair or replacement of outgrown or unrepairable clothes, household repairs, travel expenses, direct debits for utility bills, savings, taxes, insurances etc as Necessary Spending.
Friday 2nd August- NSD
I did a grocery shop, including some supplies from the Eco Refill shop. While in there I got talking to a fellow customer who told me that the freezer shop had huge 2 litre tubs of luxury vegan ice cream for just £2.50. That's about a fifth of the usual price.
Of course, I HAD to go and buy some.
