Can't say I have any issues on 11 that don't exist on 10. Too much hearsay on Windows 11 that is mostly untrue.
Now MacOS is still a bit of a mess, but they make great hardware so you kind of live with it.
Then there is the known problem of disappearing icons on the task bar. They are there, but invisible unless you manually stop and restart Windows Explorer. MS have known about it for about a year and no fix. It only occurs with dual monitor setups apparently, so clearly not a priority.
Then there's the copy, cut and paste options when you right click on a file in File Explorer - they're buried under a second level menu. You can hack the registry to get the Windows 10 style dropdown menu back, or hold down shift when you right click to get it. WHY?
Hopefully Windows 12 will be better...
Never had any icons disappear from the task bar
Cut and Copy and paste are located in the top ribbon of the menu when you right click.
So not really inherent W11 problems.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Hopefully Windows 12 will be better...Your lock screen issue is almost certainly caused by something you've got installed as that is not normal Windows behaviour.
As for copy and paste... they're at the top of the context menu.I can count the number of Windows 11 "issues" I've had on the hands of a man with no fingers.2 -

Sorry to hear you are suffering with some issues.
The disappearing icons in the taskbar on dual monitors has been fixed. That was a well known and documented issue last year, give you that, but fixed on all my devices now by an update and I use dual monitors all the time. It was most noticeable when they brought out the new Outlook and Teams applications.
Copy and paste aren't buried when I right click on a file in Windows Explorer, the are icons across the top/bottom of the list of actions depending on where the list appears on the screen. They are also icons at the top if I just click on the file in Explorer.
Certainly don't get the frequently freezing either. That sounds like a device / configuration / compatibility issue on your device. Unfortunately these things happen. You sound savvy enough that you have likely updated the BIOS and drivers for all your hardware and applied all the MS patches, so not going to insult you there.
Use about 5 different Windows 11 machines all the time and don't have any of those issues currently. 1-2 of the machines are quite heavily customised UI's and the others pretty standard.
Just because you are experiencing issues doesn't mean they are systemic. People should be encouraged to keep their technology up to date for their own security, not discouraged due to a single users issues in my opinion.2 -

Also accept that I must move on from my Win 10 habits and expectations. We've probably sidetracked this thread enough anyway...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Getting back to the OP’s question. You have absolutely no need for Mcaffe at all. It will just make your experience worse, as you’ve found out.Windows Defender with something like Malwarebytes is what you need on Windows 101

Use a filtering DNS that blocks known bad web-sites, e.g. Home Free by OpenDNS so your browser/PC has less chance of accessing a site sending malware etc.0

I've had the same problem as Snaver. My old Kindle Fire has increasingly blocked me from NHS and other Government sites. Came out of the blue and sneakily continued. But it is an old one so I'm guessing it's no longer compatible as other sites update their web.Surprised about Windows though. I'm using W7 and allows me all access. But yes, it may be the combination of out of date compatibility with the new sites, new security and your MacAffee. If I remember from my AVG and Norton days you can switch them off and on again. Is this still the case?If so try that and then access the reputable sites. See what happens
