Can I fill a hole and hang a TV

Hi all,  hoping to get some advice!

Yesterday I was trying to hang a TV on the wall. I drilled the holes with a 10mm mason drill, to the depth of the plugs provided with the TV bracket. However once I started drilling the bit was just tearing chunks out the wall.

I therefore took a chisel set and took out material (find out the wall seems to be made up of slates and concrete aggregate, hence why the drill wasn't working as intended, old Victorian house so likely why it's like this).

Plan at this point is to fill the gaps made with the chisel with filler (masonry filler) and then to use the filled gaps to drill the plugs in and hold the TV securely on the wall (please see picture to see my plan)

TV weighs about 8kg, bracket weights about 5kg, will the filler hold the TV with the screws into filler only?

Is this even possible?

Products I'm considering are
Toupret Exterior Masonry Repair Filler or
Toupret Rock Solid Exterior Filler

OR would I be better off using something different? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Based on your experience with the drill, I really don't trust the strength of the wall materials to support the weight of your TV.  I suggest you give up on the idea of wall-mounting your TV

Is the material a breeze block (used in houses since about 1920), aeriated block, or really just a mish mash (like someone filled a gap between bricks). Have you drilled elsewhere?

You really need to know the material as otherwise fill and drill won't work. There are specialist plugs for non solid walls, but it's really important to know what your wall is comprised of before you go any further.

Not sure fill & fill would be all that successful. On questionable brick walls, I find resin fixing to be pretty solid as long as the holes are deep enough - Installing a radiator, and three of the four holes went in to a crappy lime mortar joint. Drilled the holes out a bit bigger, pumped in some resin, and pushed the fixings in. Stuff went off in minutes, and the radiator is rock solid - At some 50Kg, it needs solid fixing :)

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

A photo would help, Hotpot. Inc one of the debris that came out, if you still have it.
And one of the bracket

That's very heavy for a bracket, 5 kg against a TV of 8 kg!
