    Hi All,

I have now received my final response detailing that I still have to pay in their eyes.

They have also added in “terms” that were never on the original agreement I signed are trying to say that when you sign the agreement you are confirming you have had your first treatment. Ermm pretty sure that’s fraud as that’s not what is in the agreement 😂

citizens advice is your best point of call, I would also start leaving reviews on all of omni’s online platforms. Best to ward off others.

It also states that if no treatments are received within 6 months then there is no agreement.

I think I will end up going to small claims court.

What’s does your copy of the agreement say?

  • My wife is also in this position, she paid for some treatment and the plan hasn't been completed but she is being chased for the final direct debit payment
She has had no satisfactory response to her complaint so FOS is her next port of call
As she is owed less than £1,000 the government guidance says there is no need for a proof of debt form and to contact the person handling the case,
Companies house lists the liquidation company as the below but I have tried contacting them and the number does not connect, would this be the right contact and can anyone assist with contact details:-

    The Official Receiver Or Manchester
2nd Floor, 3 Piccadilly Place, London Road, Manchester, M1 3BN

To register as a creditor you will need to complete a Proof of Debt form which you should then email to: skn-hmg@insolvency.gov.uk

  • Thankfully Omni are regulated by the FCA,  I think I'll be contacting them
  • Called the FCA, they also said that Omni have failed to mention anything about the loan being unregulated and what that means in the t&c's which may be viewed as misleading
  • FCA have said they can’t help and the ombudsman may not help either as it unregulated. I just don’t know what to do now 😭
  • Hi

I am in the same situation as you. Unfortunately I don’t think there is anything we can do.  Because the agreement stated it is ‘unregulated’ and is less than 12 months we have no protection under the S75 consumer rights.  I have exhausted all avenues to fight for my money back.  It is upsetting, unfair and frustrating.
I would reinstate your direct debit if I were you as missed payments on your credit score could hugely impact you in the future.  I will let you know if I do get anywhere but the sad truth is you and I and many others have likely lost our money :(

I’m hoping to speak to citizens advice again, as they agreed that it is ridiculous that we have to pay.

also, my agreement says I “may” not have Section 75 rights not that I don’t. It’s very vague and completely a gray area. I also have proof in an email that I asked Sk:n to cancel my agreement within the 14 day cancellation policy but they ignored my email. I just got an auto reply to say that the main manager was on mat leave….

Have you been to the ombudsman?

I was informed by citizens advice that you can contact Experian ect to reverse negative credit affects if it’s extenuating circumstances which this totally is.

I am not paying £500 for thin air 😠

To go to FOS you 1st have to exhaust lenders complaint procedure, get a deadlock letter or more than 8 weeks from point of complaint.
Then you can raise it with FOS.

FOS might not like that it has not been clear that this is a unregulated loan. No idea if they could do anything in that case. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I’ve already had the final response letter from Omni.

I basically now need to send the FOS all the communication, so they can investigate. I’m not hopeful though. Just seems so so unfair I if we have to pay and get nothing for it.
