Car mis-sold by Audi dealership

Somebody goes into car dealership, orders a 35, but when picking up the car and inspects it prior to completing the deal, spots it has a 40 badge on it.Thinks Christmas has come early and can't wait to sign everything relating to a 35.Eventually finds that it really is a 35, what they ordered and paid for, and creates a fuss because they have the wrong version.Just saying hypothetically.0

There are some amount of busybodies on this thread, spouting what “might” have happened.
Only the OP knows the full story and I have no doubt will update the thread when Audi/ Dealership respond.Mortgage free

Head office have been in touch and apparently they are still working things out with the dealership so we’re still waiting. To try and clear up some comments, the car has the 40 badge on it. With regards to us driving it away despite the paperwork saying it was a 35, we were obviously too trusting and the salesman took full advantage, fobbing us off for months (this is why it took 12 months for the truth to come out). We won’t be that naive again after this. My husband was never interested in a 35, only the 40 (call it midlife crisis or what you will, he never noticed the difference in output so… The point is that we were sold a brand new car under false pretences. The salesman did not make a mistake, he knew exactly what he was doing. It’s interesting to see the differing opinions on here, to which everyone is entitled to. Again thanks for sharing them.yep:sheslookinhot said:There are some amount of busybodies on this thread, spouting what “might” have happened.

This was a brand new car, he had driven the exact same model and the car was brought in from the factory. We had seen pictures and it matched the pictures and registration plate.
First post states Audi claim they paid the orice of a 35, not a 40.1 -
What they paid is largely irrelevant. If it was not for the fraud they might have looked elsewhere for a better deal, or bought a different model from a different manufacturer.
The really daft thing is that it's the same physical car, just a different setting somewhere that makes the engine more powerful. Audi could easily convert it, but won't want to for a variety of reasons.1 -
Driving a big car with 150bhp I just don't know how it's possible to not think this car is a slug - every other 2.0 would be pulling away. If at no point you ever planted it to keep up or just have a blast then you rerally don't need the 40.I'd take the grand and get Superchips to remap it to well over 200bhp. Insure with LV and declare it, they barely alter premiums for a remap.I quite like the idea of having a 45 or a 50 badged as a 35 - but not the other way round. Understate and over deliver.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0
