Communication from Black Horse

I sent an information request to Black Horse about discretionary commission on my car finance policy.  I have received an acknowledgement and a further holding email each saying an update would be provided in 28 days.  All fine and happy with that. I also then received a letter from my car dealership advising that when I re-financed (extended the policy) they charged the wrong rate of interest from that point onwards.  I have also received a cheque from Black Horse. Are the two issues connected or completely separate and just a coincidence?

Coincidence.    This is a widespread issue and not just you and people that haven't raised a DCA complaint are getting it.   Once BH realised it involved multiple accounts, they were duty-bound under FCA rules to correct it for everyone affected.
