What's your actual question?
The FCA investigation has a backstop date based on when they were involved in this type of arrangement. Obviously from a Law of Limitations basis anything over 6 years is going to involve an argument over if its statute barred or not but then the FCA will be ruling on cases before 2018.
You will also see the difference between the FOS and the courts. The former is bound to find fair outcomes whereas the later is required to follow the rule of law. The FOS is empowered by FSMA and the FCA so will respect the FCA's decision for their date range. The Court is bound only by law and it's likely the retroactive nature of this matter will be much more dubious.
It's interesting you mention having 0% APRs... if DCA wasnt in play what were you realistically expecting? Negative interest rates?1 -
Per the MSE guide:
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/reclaim-car-finance/
After April 2007 (at the moment) and before 28/1/21
You could complain about any of them except the 0% ones as logically an interest rate of 0% on your deal hasn't been inflated.
The more info you have the better e.g. agreement numbers etc but fill in what you can rememberSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
