Removal of CCJ post Sealed Order

Hello MSE Forum,

I had a CCJ actioned against me without my knowledge and I followed the steps in this thread. Just today I had confirmation (via DCBL)
that the Judgment has been set aside as of 18/07/2024 and I should now communicate with the court to have the CCJ removed (presumably from my credit file), how do I go about doing this please?

Many thanks for your time both in this thread and the others I read to get this far.

    You haven't mentioned whether this is anything to do with a parking ticket.

    As your query seems to be purely about legal processes, have you considered a forum dedicated to those matters?
    Maybe somewhere like Legal Beagles?

    Notwithstanding what others have stated, did you receive a written judgment or order setting aside the original judgment and, if so, what instructions did it contain?

    Ok so I had a judgment made against me for an unpaid parking ticket and then shortly after the judgement, they found my current address and started demanding money. It was at this point that I followed the steps laid out in the other thread to have the judgment removed. I now have a Consent Order that states the following:

    Before an Officer of the Court

    UPON the Claimant and the Defendant having agreed to the terms of this Order;

    AND UPON the Claimant accepting that, although the claim was correctly served at the Defendant's last known address pursuant to CPR 6.9. the Defendant did not receive the claim form and therefore did not have
    to defend the claim;

    AND UPON the parties having agreed a settlement in line with the Parking Charge

    AND UPON the parties agreeing that, in view of the above, there Is some other good reason for Judgment to be set aside pursuant to CPR 13.3;

    IT IS ORDERED BY CONSENT THAT:-
    1. The Judgment entered on 02/02/2024 is set aside;
    2. The Claim be dismissed; and
    3. No Order as to costs.
    The Consent Order has been received by the court and CP Plus has closed my case. Please could you tell me how I go about having the CCJ removed from my credit file?

    Why did you sign that?  How much did you have to pay to DCB Legal?

    None of the forum advice tells you to sign a jumped up Consent Order. This could have been done with you paying nothing in the end.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    I just want this resolved. I can't even open a bank account because my credit rating is tanking. I just paid the original charge of £60 anyway. Are you saying this is useless? It seems to me that the judgement is now set aside.

    If it has worked, then it worked. Good.

    But you could have done it for nothing which is why 'signing a Consent Order' is not in the advice (and was risky, and involved you paying a scammer).

    Yes but I have insurance to pay, dragging this out longer just means I pay in other ways with a terrible credit rating. Regardless, back to my original question; how do I now go about having the CCJ removed from my credit file?

    We never do it the way you did but I guess you email a copy of the Court Order back to the CNBC and ask.
