Vodafone New/Retention Amazing Deal - £18/month for Fibre 150 - Openreach

I'm not quite sure if this falls under New or Retention (see below) but thought it might help others, as £18/month for Openreach 150mb FTTP is a bargain I think?

So I was on Vodafone's old broadband (60+ mb) and after haggling on the phone, got them down to £24/month, a month ago. Openreach then came to install the FTTP fibre, boxes, etc... and everything was up and running.

However, HyperOptic just came to my area, offering £18/month for 150 (via uSwitch or MSE). I then rang up Vodafone, while still in my 14 day cooling off period, and said that HyperOptic were offering £18/month for the same thing and I wanted to leave in the 14 day period.

They immediately agreed to price match; I guess they have already paid for the installation, so didn't want to lose money if I left.

So hope this helps others... but £18/month seems like the best price available, for an Openreach FTTP line.
