Seems that Chip are now doing transfers in to their Cash ISA. 5.10% AER variable. App based.

Yes, already submitted one last week (that was rejected by Virgin because they're not actually Virgin but Clydesdale) and then another that seems to be progressing.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Impressive speed but had a message this evening that the transfer had completed so my Chip account now has the transfer balance showing in addition to the money added this year.

I opened a CHIP Cash ISA yesterday and am a little annoyed to find they don't accept transfers from Lloyds Bank. Anyone have any idea if this is planned for the future?
Thankfully, we can now have more than one ISA or I'd have been stuck with a CHIP ISA with a £1 balance for the tax year and my old Lloyds ISA languishing at a rubbish rate.
Isn't it a bit strange that such a large bank isn't accepted?

Ask Chip why and let us know what they say.

Apologies wasn't sure how to post this from my original post, but I had a similar experience to @moriarty888 with my Charter CISA.

In case anyone’s interested, I emailed Chip (25.07.2024) to ask whether they had any plans to add Charter to their list of providers. They finally responded (29th) below:

    Hi there,

TThank you for reaching out to us and my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately, at this time there are no plans to onboard Charter with our ISA transfer feature due to incompatible technologies between the two companies.

I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Needless to say I’m not impressed with the length of time it took for them to respond. My Charter CISA interest rate has now been reduced. However, I might stay with them as their customer service is top tier.

I did the thing on the app, where you give them the name of your provider and they say they'll email you when it is available. Then you register your interest. Fingers crossed they sort it out with Lloyds!

If you're planning on transferring an ISA in from Lloyds, don't bother. They've just messaged me to confirm, they don't accept transfers from them and have no plans to do so. Rather annoying as their advertising is full of how they beat "The Big Four".

Another thread on this board says that if you transfer out of a cash ISA with Chip, you can never open another with them.
So although good rates, a few quirks ( a bit like Plum)
