1 or 2 yr saving account?

Hi, my 2 boys who are now young men have each had a smallish amount of money invested in stocks over the last 6 yrs. They will be needing the cash over the next few yrs. They want to put it into a bank and not touch it for maybe at least a yr. I have spent a lot of time trying to find a good rate, I was hoping 1 of the high street banks ( that were) would be a good option but this does not seem to be the case. Any advise on where their saving can sit for a while and not be touched would be a help. Thankyou.

Assuming they're adults, then there's a wide range of products, but it is true that high street banks are rarely the most competitive, given their overheads, etc.
