Parking operator / store owner - ticket?

Hi all,
I recently purchased some timber from Wickes, I couldn’t fit it in my car so I decided to walk the wood back to my house nearby with my dad.

I didn’t realise there was a camera checking entrance and exit of cars, I was home for 260mins whilst I did the DIY and returned to collect my car later in the evening. The time of entrance was 18.30 (store closed at 7) so I didn’t leave my car in a space another customer could have taken up
regardless, I have contested fines before and been successful using the templates in this forum. They have a photo of my car but not of me personally, I have a lease car and my argument before was that I wasn’t driving at the time, it’s up to them to prove who was (as I am not a legal owner of the car)
Is it reasonable to email wickes and contest this owning up to leaving my vehicle there, or should I go down the route of the template ?

What exactly has the keeper of the vehicle been accused of?1

Why doesn't the vehicle's keeper walk back to Wickes when the store is open and explain just what you have written above to the manager?
Take with you a copy of the PCN to leave with the manager and ask him/her to cancel the charge.
More difficult to refuse a request when the requester is standing in front of you looking you in the eye.
Or to put it another way... far too easy to refuse a request by email.3 -
I think the car park is operated by a third party (G24) and not wickes themselves, so I think it would be very unlikely that wickes will have anything to do with it (I think?)
the car park limit is 90 minutes and the car was left there over the limit0 -
And who do you think allowed/instructed G24 to operate on their land?reeceg353 said:I think the car park is operated by a third party (G24) and not wickes themselves, so I think it would be very unlikely that wickes will have anything to do with it (I think?)
Wickes could even kick G24 off their land if they were so minded.

If the car park is wickes car park then they are liable and responsible for the actions of their agents G24. In that case Wickes will have everything to do with itreeceg353 said:I think the car park is operated by a third party (G24) and not wickes themselves, so I think it would be very unlikely that wickes will have anything to do with it (I think?)

You have not contested any "fines" with the help of this forum, these are speculative invoices, who ever contracted G24 is equally responsible for the issue of this PCN and can cancel it.

As above, so complain to Wickes about the PCN, or if its a retail park with multiple outlets, complain about the PCN to the retail park management team or landowner2

Just spoke to wickes in person and they said they don’t own the land.
The car parks for their stores are managed by the landowners for the site, rather than wicked themselves. This means they don’t have any involvement in the letters being sent out, who or they’re sent to.
I’ve complained to them, just worried this will take some time and the parking fine will increase0 -
Where exactly is this Wickes store?3

Thats why I told you to complain about the PCN to the retail park management company or the landowner , because Wickes are tenants, they don't own the land when its a retail parkreeceg353 said:Just spoke to wickes in person and they said they don’t own the land.

The parking charge doesn't increase, if it says £100 on the PCN and signage ( or less. ). then that is the maximum charge
Nobody has been fined, magistrates fine people and aren't involved2
