replying to a post with a link

As Im new, Im trying to reply with a quote to a post that has a brilliant link but saying I have to wait a while longer. Whats the time limit to be able to do this or post useful links myself?

Hi - as this is an anti-spam precaution we don't give exact details, but the restriction is both time-based and linked to how many posts you've made.

In the meantime you can post a reply without including a quote of someone else's post

Or quote the post but edit out the link itself.
