Delivery Driver Pallet has damaged driveway

Sorry should have been more clear…the initial claims person from the company suggested a new drive would be the way forward as from their experience it wouldn’t ever match again. I’ve not asked for that!PHK said:To an outside observer, it does look like the OP is trying to get a new drive.
As things have gotten off on the wrong foot, I would get quotes for CLEANING if the drive from a drive cleaning company. Then submit them to the supplier requesting the middle quote be paid.

I agree. Going in on the basis that the whole drive needs relaying has probably meant they're not taking you seriously.Exodi said:
Not really a suprise if that's what you're expecting!Rem0rtg4ge said:they’re ignoring me.

The whole drive will need re-laying.
Have you tried pressure washing it off yourself?
As advised above, you need to get a proper assessment of what's needed, get some quotes and go back to the retailer to ask them to fund the remedial work.

Was this "initial claims person" a representative of the retailer? You only have a contract with the retailer, and if they've passed it down a chain of some sort, it might get complicated. I'd get in touch with the retailer formally, by email or letter, asking them for an appropriate resolution. It's up to them how they achieve it. I don't think "matching" comes into it, because presumably whatever treatment/cleaning is applied, they'd just apply it to the whole drive so everything looks the same in the end.Rem0rtg4ge said:

No, they were the Transport Claims Manager for the delivery company that made the delivery. I've sent the photos to a driveway cleaning specialist who have said that will not clean up. I will call the retailer now. Thanks for your help.Aylesbury_Duck said:

You don't need to reply the same to each person.Rem0rtg4ge said:

Have the delivery company agreed to actually pay that suggested way forward? (they aren't liable to you but might be anticipating the retailer to claim off them and are shortcutting the process)
Or are they just musing what someone else should pay? ie useless drivel.0
