Pre approved on clearscore

You seem to be mixing things there @Nasqueron - having just double checked myself I can see I am "pre-approved" for a number of products/suppliers and for the rest I have a percentage chance of approval which includes one at 100% but its not pre-approved and the preapproved dont have a percentage.Nasqueron said:
To flip it around, I had a 100% pre-approved on Virgin and they went to manual review and eventually declined, that was a BT card. Only one I ever had declined and got a Tesco one about 3 months later no issuesjasonwatkins said:I've been pre-approved for a few cards over the last year on so on Clearscore and every application has been successful.
That said, I've never been pre-approved for any of the main banks, just the likes of JaJa, Zopa, Marbles e.t.c..
Were you maybe given a 100% chance of success rather than pre-approval? A 100% Pre-Approval isn't a status ClearScore use.
Their current wording on the app does now state its subject to additional checks and not guaranteed0 -
Thanks for all the replies. I left it a couple of weeks, checked again in here and had pre approved on both mse and clearscore. Said I wanted a limit of £4k, they gave me more than double this.
I've since transferred to other balance transfer cards, paid off loans such as argos, very and ikea and am noticing I'm now more likely for other offers.
I'm just glad to be paying off the other cards before the interest kicks in.
Anyway, thanks for the replies and feedback0 -
At present, after my only default dropped off a month or two ago (3 CCJs for Erudio Student loans will drop off my Transunion report in Dec / Jan):
For my ficticious Clearscore score:
648 out of 1000.
Up 48 points since the last report.
Better than the UK average of 585
2 credit cards being offered:
Jar Jar Vanta @ 44.7% pre-approved
118 118 money credit card @ 48% pre-approved
Still pretty much sub-prime. Don't need them and not going to try them anyway.
Might have a look at something more mainstream once the CCJs are removed from my Transunion report (544 out of 710, needs work) in the next 2-3 months. My bank uses them.

More score went up and a load of new pre-approved cards appeared (Virgin, Barclays, MBNA, Lloyds etc.)
Tried a Lloyds one and rejected.
