Car Insurance cancelled - GoSkippy / Somerset Bridge Ltd
My daughter recently taken out a car insurance policy with GoSkippy, paid upfront for the year. The policy started on 11/07/2024 and was purchased on 20/06/2024. She received an email today, from ‘Somerset bridge Ltd.’ with an attached cancellation letter stating ‘I am writing with reference to your GoSkippy Car insurance policy, Underwritten by Watford Insurance Company (Europe) Limited and Administered by Somerset Bridge Ltd.
I can confirm that your insurance policy, reference ***, has been cancelled as of 16/07/2024 at 3:10pm.
This action has been taken as it has come to our attention that you have failed to disclose a previous policy cancellation.’
She has never had a policy cancelled before, having 4 years of no claims.
GoSkippy say we need to contact ‘Somerset Bridge’ but these don’t have a phone number, they seem to be based in Gibraltar and are only contactable via a complaints email address. The automated reply to the complaint email said I can expect to hear back in 3day-8weeks. There is no mention of a refund, how can I initiate this? How do I find out if she has in fact had a policy cancelled and determine more detailed reasons around the previous policy cancellation?
Anyone experienced anything like this or can offer any advice?

Surely she’d know if she’d had a policy cancelled? If only because it would have impacted on all her insurance since then? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

she needs to contact them to get the reasons. Or at least give you the permission to discuss her policy
could it be a policy from more than 4 years ago?1 -

For sure she continues to pursue GoSkippy.
