Your witness statement is still confusing; in your defence you wrote: -
The Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question at that time. On 25/02/2024, the driver and passenger visited the Pear Tree Inn as genuine customers for a curry/drink. (Pear Tree Inn is a pub/restaurant ....

In your WS you write: -

On Sunday 25th February 2024, at 18.47 hrs, the Driver of XXXXX drove into the Pear Tree Inn car park and parked up, along with a female companion

Are you defending as Registered Keeper and NOT driver and NOT even in the vehicle OR are you defending as Registered Keeper and NOT driver but you were in the vehicle as a passenger?  You need to make it quite clear to the judge what the TRUE situation is.

Registered keeper/defendant/driver are the same person. I was the passenger/bill payer. We are married lol.

A little confused about it all to be honest. About the defending part I mean. What best to do.

    Thanks for your advice 🙂

Too late for defending, that is done, your witness statement just need to make sense.  It could just say "we were visiting ..........." or "the vehicle was parked ......."
Don't confuse the judge!  You could use any of the witness statements that use Chan & Akande for example written by @aza123 or @Kpmp54 both of which include Chan & Akande
Make sure that you include the evidence as indicated in the NEWBIE sticky at this point: -
At witness statement stage (usually NOT LATER THAN 14 DAYS BEFORE YOUR HEARING!)...........

Just checking  -  everything on all documents have the name of your partner  -  your name does not appear anywhere?

Checking because some posts state "
None apply to my case." or similar.

Everything in his name. The exhibit which is the bank transaction is in my name. We partially have the same surname.  I remember adding my name as a potential witness on a document previously though. It got sent to court.

    Thanks.
