New TSB Debit Card

Just received a new TSB Debit card in my name. I didn't know I had a TSB current account......don't have any details, can't log in, don't have a pin number etc. What's the best way to deal with it....should I just telephone TSB ?

Yes - ring them and ask, no-one here can tell you

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

    As above, contact TSB.

Also potentially worth checking your credit files from all 3 CRAs - Experian, Equifax and TransUnion - to see if there are any other accounts against your name that you might not know about.

In a previous thread you mentioned having regular savers and a login. To open a TSB regular saver you need a current account.

  • That previous post was from mr subjectocontract.....I'm mrs subjecttocontract and don't have any TSB accounts that I know of. Gave up trying to phone them as they kept me on hold for ages. Just sent them a letter quoting the account details on the new debit card and asked them to close the account and send me a cheque. Will probably receive a cheque for 3 pence shortly !😁😁
