The slugs are going to love the extra food.
I planted five a month ago.  There is one leaf left amongst the lot.  Never again.
Is that the 'new' slug pellets, or simply forgetfulness? I put out a Nepeta a few days ago and found it reduced to a stick yesterday. Three or four (that few) real pellets sorted things out last night. The result is too gory for a family friendly site!

I've stopped growing nepeta outside, as the last pot full got nibbled down to soil level. It wasn't slugs unless they now have four legs and fur.
Cat hasn't worked out that there is an excellent crop in flower on the bathroom windowsill. He'll get a fresh bud once in a while to get high on.

Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Here, our surviving Frances Williams resides in a galvanised bucket. That's the organic answer, but at a steep price in today's junk shops!

I have a galvanised bucket but would like drainage holes in the bottom.
How have you solved that problem? Currently it is full of water!
(I got mine free: left in a house I bought!- as a coal bucket)
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Just a standard high speed metal drill bit, or probably a series of them, widening the holes to a useful size.

Less professional... but I've also had success with a decent size nail and hammer - plus a half brick to push down any distortion from the inside after.
I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.

This is my preferred route too AR! Brute force over any attempt at finesse  :D

One of them, no. He wouldn't know which way round to hold it. :D
The other one, maybe, but he's already filled my workshop with rip saws, lathes, and other machinery, so an extra couple of drills is neither here nor there. :/
