in Credit cards
A family member has just been accepted for the natwest credit card so I thought I’d give the eligibility checker a try on there website and see what my chances are but all I keep getting once I’ve put my address details in is (we can’t continue with your application online) would this be because a family member in the same household has a application open with them, I wouldn’t of thought so as I’m a completely different person and name, anyone else run into this issue?.

It's nothing to do with your relative, credit records are individual, not tied to an address.
Either their system is a problem or you failed some ID check or similar. Are you on the electoral register? Lived at that address long time? Do you have any other credit cards?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I got that online, then it worked through the app. Not sure if you can go through the app as a new customer though. If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Anyone else had this same issue, I called them up and the guy on the phone tried doing the same check while I was on the call and he got an error but not the same one so he’s gonna report it to the technical department, hopefully be fixed at some point but he couldn’t say when and just said to keep trying.0

That isssue has been happening for a few months now. It's a bit hit and miss.Sometimes it's the web browser you are using.0

Just tried several browsers on my phone as well as clearing data and still continue to get the same error for me, strange.0

Oddly enough, I came on to ask about NatWest
Looking for a balance transfer card, the eligibility checker on here said 0%, Clearscore said pre approved. If I go through the clearscore am I effectively messing myself up for future credit as I'll potentially be declined?

It will do a soft search and give you an indicative credit limit.Remember, as for any pre-approved application, you can still be declined on final lender checks so nothing is guaranteed. Also, if you get declined, that doesnt mess yourself up for future credit.0
