There must be SOMEONE better than 02!

Options
I have been a customer of O2 for well over 20 years and just cannot believe the depths to which it has sunk recently.

I have (had) for telephone numbers with them for four varying reasons.

Recently upgraded to iPhone 15 pro plus and decided that dual sims would be the way to go.

It will be too lengthy to go into detail here but suffice to say my four accounts are in a right mess.

I have been trying to sort this out online and in-store  since March of this year and the current situation is I am told that although my iPhone supports dual e.Sim, O2 will only allow the use of a single e-Sim and the other must be a physical Sim.

Today I visited in the store after having spent hours going back over my old records to make sure I knew exactly what I had asked for in past conversations and what had actually been achieved following these interactions. .

It appeared that the representative of O2 understood all that I said and all that I required and indeed I came out of the store reasonably satisfied except for the comments that I could not have a dual Sim.

What I had asked for was this being my main phone to have my main account on an esim With the second e sim Available to use for an eSIM purchased for use in the USA and I was told this was not possible not on O2 anyway!.

However, upon reaching home I noted nearly 10 emails from O2 and after untangling it all it is in an even worse mess than before.

I have one very basic account on pay as you go And they are now telling me my e-sim is ready to be installed, but this particular phone a basic Doro does not have this capability!

In store it was noted that I did not use much of any of my allowances and I have never been told I have exceeded my allowances yet I now have a statement sent following my visit telling me I was very short of data on all four accounts even though instore These were noted as very low usage, so God knows what they’ve done to it now!anyway, that has all been the final straw and I need to move completely away from O2.

Is there any advice out there please as to who may actually handle customers accounts with some kind of reasonable understanding I’m not just trying to grab every single penny regardless.

probably a silly ask but any ideas would at least be welcome to look into. Thank you in advance.

Is you phone bought via 02?
If it is then the best way is to buy from Apple & then it is not locked to any network.

No new phone bought from anyone has been locked to a particular network for some years.

I don't know why the OP has 4 numbers but perhaps the way to go is to switch the least important one to another supplier to see how it goes. How about getting a free PAYG from Three, check it gives OK coverage, then use a PAC code to swap from O2.

Re the iPhone 15 Pro Max (not plus) the UK configuration has 1 physical SIM slot, the second "slot" is an e-SIM. Where there may be some confusion is that phones with e-SIM capability may have several e-SIMs loaded (I have 3 on my Samsung) but only 1 may be active at a time.

Wrong! You can either have one physical SIM and one eSIM active or two eSIM's active at any one time.

Ah, thank-you. Misread the spec sheet.

You can have at least eight eSIMs loaded onto your iPhone and any two of those active at a time (if no physical sim is active).

Unfortunately it seems o2 employ poorly trained staff.

You can install eight or more eSIMs on an iPhone and use two phone numbers at the same time.
