You can either ask the firm directly (maybe act a bit naïve and say you'd looking at a mortgage/re-mortgage and want to know if there will be a credit check in case it impacts that) or go through the application process anyway and if they tell you it's subject to credit check, come clean then or withdraw the application. The type of FS role will likely be the key - if you work in a bank as a cleaner, it's different to being someone handling billions. If you are doing a similar or the same role, were you subject to credit checks?Dfarkas0 said:no nothing in the advert regarding a credit check or pending a credit check.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Personally I'd ask the question now to avoid both of you wasting time dealing with an interview for a job that you may not meet the requirements for.Dfarkas0 said:I'm not aware or a credit check being done against me but definitely a screening on my background.
