Neighbor throwing trash in the alley between us

The litter, as per the photo posted earlier in the year, is a bit boring. If revenge is to be had it needs spicing up.
Assuming that the neighbour is actually throwing it:
Get a bubble envelope and write their name and address clearly on it. Then, put a marital aid in it, seal it up, tear it open, and have the marital aid half sticking out (easily visible). Then throw that into that bit of land and leave it there, name and address side up.0 -

Took this pic just now, there's more stuff in the alley and their blue wheelie bin which they put at the corner of my driveway is constantly opened or they stuff it too much so very often I get trash from that bin too.
I doubt any of the people responding here would accept this situation for themselves.
And yes, it *is* them. I've been living in this house 12 years so I know what the wind does and does not here.1 -
If it were me, and it is like that, then I'd ask them to not throw rubbish there. (Which you have.) But, if there is no solution to that, then I would probably just have to accept the situation.gilbutre said:

We got up yesterday morning to find that there was discarded takeaway wrappers scattered down the street. We picked up the bits outside our house, next door picked up what was in front of theirs. I'm pretty much in the same camp as RHemmings here - it would be irritating, sure, but I don't think it would be worth ending up in a neighbour dispute over.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

And yes, it *is* them. I've been living in this house 12 years so I know what the wind does and does not here.Do you have evidence that it's them? You have a cracking view of that alleyway, so why don't you have a looping camera aimed at it?Gather enough evidence - catch at least two incidents - and then tackle it according to the cause. Ie, if it's wind blowing open the bin lid and stuff being blown out, that's different from them overloading the bin in the first place, and it not then being able to contain it all. Then, sorry, you need the 'approach'.I agree - it's pathetic, inconsiderate, easy to avoid, and has no justification. Use most of that in your approach; explain what it is you are trying to do - keep the 'hood as neat and attractive as possible, because you know that any litter just attracts more of the same. So you've gone to a lot of effort to clean up that shared alleyway, and are doing your best to keep it clean. You'd really appreciate any help towards this aim.Record that conversation. And video-record the alleyway. Then at least you have the required evidence, and can decide what to do with it.Evidence is everything.1 -
I printed this picture with a note asking them politely to not throw trash in the alley and they removed most of it. Since then they have thrown almost nothing in it. No idea how long this will last. I bloody hate as**oles.1

There are some people who go litter-picking as a sort of hobby or just to boost their social conscience.0

Browsing people's post history can be be a very worthwhile exercise, especially where you suspect the poster has posted in the same vane previously (and I am not referring to you)gilbutre said:
