Debt Recovery Plus - PAY NOW!

Morning all,
Appreciate if some one could help / advice.
1. I have parked in Glen Lyn car park, Devon, but did pay for the parking back in Aug 24.
2. We went to holiday in december back last week.
3. Opened letters and one of them from Debt Recovery Plus, dated 16 of dec 24, demanding to pay £170.
4. Then another letter dated 9/01/25, same demand the same.
5. The letter issued to my missus name as she is registered driver.
6. But I rang them today asking for detail (which i shouldnt have done, realised after reading newbies post)
7. Guy from the DPR was so rude, saying can not discuss with me as the letter is not in my name but will take payment from me!!!
8. My issues are,
1) I am first time hear about this ticket (insufficient time paid)
2) DRP not disclosing any detail about this ticket but pay £170. I was trying to find out how much time i exceeded, where is the parking company original ticket letter etc.
So, do i still ignore the letter from DRP? Reason i am asking is, newbies thread says i should not contact them over phone, but i did.
Thanks in advance for any help.0 -

1. To look reasonable later on if it goes to a claim. Judges like to see efforts to narrow the issues and resolve disputes before court;
2. To fish for disingenuous and varied explanations for the added £70 and why they are saying no VAT applies to a FEE (course it does);
3. To help posters to state their current address (and insist that any older addresses are erased) because so many people just sleepwalk into CCJs by leaving a PPC thug with a choice!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Don't over-complicate this. Nothing you say in a LBC response will kill off a planned court claim, but it's easy to give them encouragement to go forward with the claim.K I S S and follow @Coupon-mad's advice.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

When you say its easy to give them encouragement to go forward with the claim, do you mean by adding unnecessary information on a LBC response, or to even bother sending a LBC response in the first place? Sorry for asking just confused.0 -

CST Law website? Show us a screenshot please. I'll show it to the Government, if I may.
It will also be useful to you for evidence later.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you think I should mention this £89 fee on my LBC response (as another example of adding bogus fees (already mentioning the £70)), or save it for court?0
