Wizz air baggage charges help please

Hi, my daughter has accidentally booked a flight for next week instead of today after her flight got cancelled yesterday in larnaca and she was trying to get back to the UK. I have checked the wizz air website and they say that they charge 80-100 euros to cancel a booking which we accept as it was her mistake the flights cost £237 so would be swallowed by the charges in any case but they are also refusing to refund the £500 odd they charged for checked in baggage which seems unfair if it's a service that will not be used, does anyone have any advice regarding trying to get a refund for the luggage? Or alternatively if a refund isn't a possibility I thought possibly leave the booking and hope the flight gets cancelled (this seems to happen a lot from larnaca I know of at least 4 separate flights that have been cancelled recently) would this work to get a refund (slim chance I know but she's a student so £700 plus is an expensive lesson) or is there anything she would need to do to get the refund i.e check in first for flight? Thanks you x

How many bags did she have because their fees are nowhere near that for one case / lighter cases are less than this.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Sorry I misunderstood her total booking was 635 euros still a lot of money for a service you haven't used.
