Wondering if to pay or just wait for letters to stop now

Hello, thank you in advance.
I have read the NEWBIE thread. I had a Euro Car Park PCN, I responded on line with template - it was rejected of course. (3 hours 20 mins in Sainsbury's and only paid for 3 hours)
2 things...
1 - Do I appeal to POPLA or just let the debt letter arrive and ignore?
2 - What is the process now, how long can they chase the Keeper for? Are the threatening letter and stress of a potential day in court worth it for a £50 charge,
Thank you

Question from me to start with
What happened to plan A , a complaint to Sainsbury's requiring a cancellation by return. ? Did you email the CEO Simon Roberts. ? Plan A is definitely mentioned in that Newbies thread that you read
1) appeal to Popla, using everything possible, because you only need to win on a single point, and it costs you nothing
2) 6 years , although I doubt that the PCN was £50
Court is not a given, its at the end of a long process requiring the Claimant to pay 2 fees, the discontinuations thread by Umkomaas is rapidly heading to 4001 -
Thank you for reply.
Plan A - Emailed Simon Roberts and they (Executive Office) replied within 30 mins to say very sorry but car park nothing to do with them. Found out it was Council land, had no idea who to call or email and couldn't get a sensible answer out of numbers i called.
1) I surely have no ground to win at Popla? But i will try I guess??
2) It was £85 but saying if I pay now its £50 for 14 days
Discontinuations thread??
Thank you

So easy for anyone to refuse a request by email, isn't it?mrdubs said:Plan A - Emailed Simon Roberts and they (Executive Office) replied within 30 mins to say very sorry but car park nothing to do with them.
Why don't you go into the store, face the Customer Services person eye to eye and tell him/her why you and your family and friends will no longer be able to shop at Sainsburys if every shop comes with a £100 surcharge?
And when you have a moment, please edit your thread title to something more meaningful/useful.3 -
First thing my wife did was march down there - the Manager said that the car park is nothing to do with them.KeithP said:

So here is my question...If I just sit back and wait for the letters to come, I presume they will eventually stop? Or could this go on for 6 years?!0 -
Where exactly is this Sainsburys?
Yes, that's one option. If you choose to do that, remember to tell the parking company when you change address, otherwise you could find a court cased is started with you having no opportunity to defend yourself.mrdubs said:So here is my question...If I just sit back and wait for the letters to come, I presume they will eventually stop? Whilst the land maybe council owned, or not, it could be leased or privately owned, the council will know because of the business rates payable etc , you never told us the location , you told us very little at the start, but clearly your latter replies should have been in the opening post ? Especially the location, many hands make light workmrdubs said:Thank you for reply.

1) You have no idea what may win at popla, no landowner authority, poor signage, all the usual suspects should be in there
2) then its the full £85 they would chase you for, the default tariff, not the discounted amount of £50

Not going to care one iota. The world is full of indignant people who think they can bully others. In business some customers are more trouble than their worth.KeithP said:

PPC World is certainly full of people who think they can bully others.
A horrible ex-clamper mentality has prevailed and morphed into using 'barely legal' firms to credit clamp ordinary, good people.
Needs bringing down. It will be.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

£50 if pay now. People will pay these "fines" just to avoid the stress of the horrible letters that will come and potential court hearing.
Im 50/50 if to pay it or just wait and wait. Ive already spent over my what I would earn if i went to work researching and reading about this, so technically I am already down over £50 - lol
