T-mobile credit checks

Options
I found a good deal at my local T-mobile store RAZR V8 12 month contract £27.50/month including free phone & H700 headset, £30 calls/text monthly allowance, web 'n' walk.

I tried to sign up but failed their credit check; no information/reason available from the store. I was told to discuss direct with Equifax!! I heve downloaded my credit file and as expected it's very green - ticks in all the right places. Unsurprisingly Equifax say the rejection is nothing to with them and retailers set their own acceptance criteria.

So far no one in T-mobile will talk to me.. Does anyone have any suggestions who I should contact? I've never been refused credit before.

Thanks

    Have you recently changed address?

We had and wanted a prepayment BG electric meter (put in by previous owner) replaced with economy 7. Some muppet in BG refused to as we "failed a credit check!".

I applied for my credit file via equifax and it came out fine.

When I went back to BG and repeated the request they were fine about it. The only reason they could give for the initial refusal is that we were down on the electoral register as living in our previous address. !!!!!! we'd only just moved!!!

Have you got any other contracts with T Mobile?

I had 2 that were about to be terminated, took out another 2 via DAP but, although I was sent both phones, T Mobile only allowed me to have one more line.

When I phoned up and asked they checked my credit rating and then connected the 2nd phone for me.

    Why not try via www.dialaphone.co.uk/youatwork

.....and get some cashback as well - DAP are very good at honouring cashback. If you PM me I can give you specific info....
