Fitting skirting to plasterboard walls?

Fair do's - it is quite sticky, and quite tough once set. But, it's not as 'grabby' as proper adhesive.531063 said:
Have you ever stuck 2 pieces of wood together with silicone ?, try it you will be surprised at it's strength, no one mentioned painting it, it was about fixing SB to plasterboard, of course you wouldn't try to paint silicone.ThisIsWeird said:
Thanks. Yes, and it's messy, and paint won't adhere to it.Grenage said:
It's not a proper adhesive. It doesn't work as well and it wouldn't last as long.531063 said:
Why ?ThisIsWeird said:Just don't use silicone.
It simply isn't designed for this purpose. It's a decorative sealant.
Also messy if you get it on your hands, and any smears will repel paint. Ditto with any that may squish out - you ain't going to wipe it all away successfully.
