Georgie1410 said:I just called them - because the letter is dated 15th June and I didnt receive it until the 21st. So I dont really have 1 month to do the application - they just said to mention why its late in the reconsideration. I also told him about the hearing test - he said to talk about how my hearing loss affects me and that I can get evidence (if needed up to 1 month after). I still really anxious and stressed with it all. I think I will do it over the phone and send it in the post. At least if I call them they can say they received it within the 1 month despite my sending the letter a little later.
ii) Don't pay to get medical evidence - you can get a copy of your medical records free of charge from your surgery (under Data Protection legislation). I presume your hearing loss would be noted?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.1 -
Hi thanks Alice - I havent seen my GP about my hearing loss yet. I had a check a few years ago with Boots so I knew it was severe anyway.
I'm still having problems with this form - I've downloaded it saved the work I've done and this evening gone back into it and nothing has been saved. It deletes it everytime I close it even when I do a new copy and save as. I think they are deliberately making it difficult for people - should I pay for microsoft 365 - will this make it easier? Im not a teccie person so dont know what to do really.0 -
I'd suggest either:
i) printing the form off and handwriting it, or
ii) send a letter (using the headings on the form) headed up "Mandatory Reconsideration".
Keep a copy.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.1 -
I can't quite remember but I think for my MR I printed off the form, typed up my case as a separate document, then printed everything off and in the relevant section on the form put 'see attached sheets'.
Alternatively you could type up the long bit separately, then try copy and paste into the right section once you've finished it, then fill in all the rest of the details and print straight away. (Keep the separate document as well, for a copy of what you've put as your argument on the form.)1 -
Save it as a PDF and then open word and open the pdf, it will automatically open as a word document. If you want to save it as a pdf, go to print and print as a pdf and it will allow you to save a pdf version.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.
