Hi,
I am not clued up about all this but I see facebook ads about claiming back on my MotoNovo finance.
i had a finance contract back in 2016 on a second hand BMW but I went into an IVA and they reclaimed the car.
Would I still be able to go looking to claim on this? also, what is it exactly I'm being told I can claim for?
Again, this goes way over my head so if someone could explain it I would be grateful.
Thanks

Would I still be able to go looking to claim on this? You are able to raise a complaint but you will not benefit from the proceeds. It will go against any unpaid debt that was written off.
And importantly, the claims company, if you used one, could bill you for a percentage of the redress even though you may not see of a penny of it. You must never use a claims company if you have had debts written off as part of an agreed settlement, are in arrears or had defaults.also, what is it exactly I'm being told I can claim for?Probably DCA but the complaints process on DCA is currently closed pending an FCA review.
i.e. If there was discretionary commission on your finance and how it may have been used if it was.

Use the MSE template if neededSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
