i'd give him a call now, i think its gone on long enough and you've been really patient. Buyers hate 'the phonecall'; i often find this resolves an issue really quick as people are a lot more reasonable - we all hide behind our emails!
Decide what you're going to say before you call, i always make a list - eg options for you both, such as a different method of payment, forgetting the whole thing and mutually agreeing not to complete the sale.
