And I'm sending that just to the DPO, not to BW Legal? And that alone will ensure BW Legal's letters to the registered keeper will instead come to the new address?Coupon-mad said:Use the first paragraph from the LBC response in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.
I'm midway through the survey and will complete it tomorrow!1 -
I usually advise the following as a Data Rectification Notice but, as PPCs and their solicitors are careless with their received emails and letters and will always claim "non-receipt" it would be safer to send to BW Legal by using cc in the same email that you send to the PPC.Send a Data Rectification Notice to the DPO of the PPC advising them of you correct address for service and requiring them to ERASE your old data and inform any and all of their agents and subcontractors of your address.4

Yep send the data rectification to the DPOs of both.
Attach proof of your new residence. Utility bill ideally, or possibly your REDACTED driving licence (never give a full image of your driving licence to anyone) showing the address would doPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sigh, the process plods on...
Having contacted the DPO for both companies with a Data Rectification for the new address on the 17th of Sept, the registered keeper received a letter of claim to the old address headed as the 7th of October. So frustrating.
Additionally, BW Legal seemingly have made no effort to transfer communication / liability / whatever to me, the identified driver, rather than the registered keeper. As such, this Letter of Claim is in the registered keeper's name, not mine.
I've pushed back via email and via their portal to point this out, but not sure if they'll actually take any action by the end of the 30 day window (7th Nov).1 -
All good evidence for a counter claim against the PPC and BW Legal for their continued breach of the Data Protection Act and harassment of the keeper.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

If the DPO ignored your clear instructions to update your address and didn't erase your old one, report them to the ICO.2
