does that include flights. if so how much are they to book separate and priced up with a Luxor deal on the Fatwallet thread ??Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
MayJust putting final bits together for our trip on New Years day.
Flying with AA via JFK there and ORD back from LHR. Staying 8 nights, 7 at Caesars via a London Clubs International deal for $500 (yes, that's dollars.) Then have to move over to the California for the last night because of the price hike brought on by the Consumer Electronic show. Have rented a Dodge Charger for the duration for £140.
Things to do include trip to Las Vegas Ski for a days skiing, then on to Mt. Charleston Hotel for dinner. A trip out to Valley of Fire. Can't wait for the Murder Mystery tour that ferf reviewed, sounds fun. A day golfing, breakfast there first, some practice for an hour or so, then 18 holes, takes about 4-5 hours, then late lunch. We usually just spend a day driving around and stopping where ever we fancy. Going to the slugger stadium by the airport to hit some baseballs. Shopping at the Forum shops, Palazzo, Caesars, Town Square, Venetian. Mrs. S spends about 2 hours in CVS and Sephora make-up buying, and I go to Casino Royale to play craps. Might travel to California to go to Six Flags, then stay over night and come back the next morning.
Eating will be Ellis Island BBQ, In&Out burger, Grand Lux, P.F. Changs at PlanetHo, Austins steakhouse at Texas Station, Spago at Forum shops, Cheesecake Factory for meatloaf, mmmm!!
Gambling will be Mrs. S on penny slots playing goldfish and wolfrun, mainly at PlanetHo, usually because she finds it the warmest casino on the strip, and I like to play craps there. A little bartop VP at Paris, and a lot more at Pallazo, the guys behind the bar pour the biggest drinks I have ever had in Vegas, and will comp both of us even if we can only get one machine. You will find me giving my liver and lungs a good bashing, now that I have almost been turned into a non smoker in this country, I like to make up for it over there. Will try a few different places this time as well. Hope to get out to Encore and Palms. Definitely going out to the Luxor, was really impressed with the change last time we looked in. Mrs S likes to visit the Spa at Luxor, she has tried lots in Vegas and says that one is the best, mainly because they don't whack on an automatic 18% gratuity. I use the gym there for free, they let me in when she pays for her treatments.
We are only planing to go and see Carrot Top again this time, not really into the shows much. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
MayNot sure when you are going, but they do have some dates at 40% off.

Marchi'm the April posse... if there was a few of us, do you think we could negotiate group discount? :rotfl:
After I posted I thought you might be April - a bit confused these last few days...so many days off work and so much food tends to addle my brain. The way things are going I suspect they may be giving tickets away...but it does sound like from bitgiggy and a few other reviews I've read that people are going into it with certain expectations that aren't being met...without those expectations, maybe people will start enjoying the show and reviews will turn around?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Have a great trip - this really was so much fun, though now I'm slightly worried that as I went into it with minimal expectations I've maybe hyped it too much and others will be disappointed! Fingers crossed that that isn't the case - can't wait to hear how you like it!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Direct flights ??? which carrier ???
The Fatwallet thread lists all current hotel deals in Vegas . Please read post #1 for info
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/travel-deals/704925/?start=0
if price of package is more than direct purchase of flights + similar quality hotel stay , you have your answer to if it is a good deal or not .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0
