Should I sell my ISA?

Since then I have subscribed more to 'do nothing'. Worked well for Gareth Southgate last Sunday too!

Whatever you do DO NOT sell your investments and take the proceeds out of your ISA to your bank account or you'll lose the tax free status of that money when you buy back into the market. Keep it within the ISA within a money market fund and then sell the mmf as and when you want cash to buy stocks again.2

If the market felt Trump would be bad for stock markets, they would have priced in an increased chance of Trump victory following Biden's awful debate performance. Markets didn't move.
Main risk with Trump is that his protectionist policies inc tariffs could re-ignite inflation in US but otherwise relatively little between the candidates.
US market has proven incredibly resilient in the face of a rapid (& prolonged) tightening cycle - doubt the next President will have a major impact.
OP's reaction to "sell their ISA" and move to cash in response to a little noise suggests they may be invested above their level of risk tolerance2 -
Thanks for the comments and advice, folks -- appreciate them all; however, if Trump does win 2024 investment portfolios will no doubt be one of the lesser things I and most of the rest of the world will be worrying about.0

That's what people said last time and they were completely wrong.2
