ThanksSometimes it is on the key only, sometimes not even there. There are replacement key providers who can tell you the code for a key from a photograph of it.We had lost one of our "3 star" external door keys, and the card with the key code on it. A supplier was able to supply an extra key from a photograph of a working one, and the code so long as I purchased the key from them! Cost me £20 and we subsequently found the lost key, as expected.

I found another internal lock without key, So rather than paying another £50 if its economical hopefully I can get key made from the lock if I get these to any high street chains. Thanks.Signature on holiday for two weeks0

also found another solution through some skilled blacksmiths on eBay!
I opened the lock and provided the lever sequence numbers. With that information, expert locksmiths on eBay were able to identify the Union MxxxM lock number and create a working key for me. So, there was no need to use an original key to make duplicates!
I did spend money on a new lock, but now I have an extra one that I can use elsewhere!
Thanks everyone for your inputs.
