Currently have Plusnet Broadband and phone package.
As i understand it, sooner or later going to have to go Full Fibre ( meaning replacing existing cable to property with fiber optic).
Can i keep old landline number?
I understand phone service will be voip, but do plusnet offer this (i read they dont, but could be old info)
Does this type of phone service if available have packages like the current home phone does eg. free uk calls for £ per month?

Nothing changes although in the long term Plusnet is being brought under the BT/EE brand

You are correct that they will no longer provide phone lines after pstn closure

Perhaps the time has come to migrate to Vodafone or another isp that still provides landline or VoIP

You seem to be mixing up a couple of different things
Although both do stem from the phasing out of the copper cable network.
Firstly- It doesn't mean new fibre-optic cables being laid to your property. Most people now have 'Fibre to the Cabinet' (FTTC), cabinets are the green or grey boxes on the street, and then you still have the existing copper wires to the house. Most cabinets are now connected by fibre.
By contrast "Fiber to the Premises' (FTTP) means then taking fiber from the cabinet to your house, which does mean new cables to the house.
Second - The old phone system is being phased out. All phones will connect over the internet - Voice Over Internet Protocol (Voip).
Unless you change company then your phone number should stay the same- but you might need a new phone, and maybe an internet hub, to keep using it.
Your current supplier should tell you what kit you need, and should provide it.
Packages are available just as they were before,  but may be slightly different.
For example I now have a BT Essentials contract, (it's a "Social Contract" and you need to be on benefits to qualify for one of those), it includes 700 mins of calls a month, and unlimited broadband at 40 MB/s all for £15/month- and came with a new voip phone and SmartHub2.
I could have kept my old phone number if I had wanted to, but for my own reasons I took a new one.
There are other BT packages available, and other suppliers have their own packages.

The Plusnet contract is for another 11 months.
Which companies provide digital voice service with Full Fibre broadband.
I think BT and Vodafone do support it, but is there charges to make calls?

I'm still convinced Plusnet will vanish into BT/ EE

    Plusnet TV closed

    Plusnet mobile closed

    Plusnet business broadband closed

Plusnet residential landline to be withdrawn

Plusnet network 100% managed by BT

Plusnet was bought out by BT back in 2007 so it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of BT for 17 years now. No new contracts for some time, BT have confirmed that when the remaining contracts expire the name will disappear.

Interesting that the Plusnet deals are showing CPI +3.9% increases next April whereas BT deals will have a flat £3 increase. Could be that the CPI + % deal might be less of an increase.
