Has your mother obtained a state pension forecast?

    https://www.gov.uk/check-state-pension

    Has she set up a
    personal tax account?

    https://www.gov.uk/personal-tax-account

The Barclays Scheme was the only contracted out scheme of which she was ever a member?https://community.hmrc.gov.uk/customerforums/ni/23e786da-0836-ef11-a81c-002248c72a39

Is a COPE shown on her PTA?

With regard to your mother's situation, it is interesting to note that her membership of the Barclays Scheme tallies almost exactly
with glitzy's (see previous posts in this thread). She started at age 16 in 1979 and left in 1986.

Glitzy's statement of deferred benefits on leaving here

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5897714/old-staff-barclays-pension

From the letter which your mother has turned up, judging by the above, if we assume that the figure of £605.57 (including GMP)
represents the value at DOL,  then her statement of deferred benefits on leaving should have read (?)

    Pension at  x/y/1986

    GMP
built up before 6 April 1988                                                 £158.08 per annum

    Scheme pension
(over the GMP) built up before 6 April 1997
        £447.29 per annum

    Total Scheme Pension                                                                 £605.37

There appears to be no mention of the amount of SPD on your mother's letter.

You will note that glitzy's pension revalued in deferment  (GMP at 8.5%) the excess according to scheme rules.and her entitlement  is
    now (roughly) as here

The question is why WTW have no record of your mother's deferred pension.  Was it transferred out?

Has your mother shown WTW the letter above?

Possibly only the post 31/12/1985 service was entitled to revaluation at that time (revaluation for all service didn’t kick in until 01/01/1991 for leavers after that date, unless already provided under scheme rules.

See glitzy's statement  of benefits on leaving here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5897714/old-staff-barclays-pension

See your post on her estimated pension here  https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80940983/#Comment_80940983

She is an almost exact contemporary of  The Realist's mother and was a member of the scheme 1979 - 1986.

    The Realist's mother  was a member of the scheme 1980 - 1986.

WTW are insistent the amount was transferred to HSBC in 2005 but this amount was the amount my father gave to my mother as part of their divorce (also from his Barclays 1964 Pension). This amount is independent to my mother's time and the letter I've attached.

They are just saying they have no record and are essentially not interested. Any advice please? An

Anyone for example at WTW I can cc in that would help?

    Thanks

Have you advised WTW in writing that they may be confusing your mother's pension entitlement in her own right with the payment made on divorce? Do you have any supporting paperwork for that?
If their response is still not satisfactory, you could take your complaint direct to the Scheme Trustees.

The record is  your mother's letter of entitlement. Have you made it clear to WTW that your mother had an entitlement in her own right that was quite independent of your father's pension and that the only payment to HSBC was from your father's pension?

Do you have a contact email address please. Perhaps we can copy them into our response?

No. However, the best way to contact them is via the WTW contact details but make it clear that you wish your communication to be passed to the Trustees. I would follow the steps outlined above by me and @xylophone before doing that though, as it gives WTW a chance to deal with it first.
