Do you mean for the purposes of qualifying for cashback or another incentive from the bank? It depends but often such payments are not excluded. For example, it would get you the £5 Halifax monthly reward.

I used Safari on my Mac and never had a problem.  Found it easier to use Easy Bank transfer than the QR code. 

I am told there are three ways to fund. I only tried Easy Bank transfer, not as seamless like Revolut, but is probably the easiest of all three options.
