I think you can use trusts or something to restrict things further, like ages etc, but I've not given this any thought yet.
Trusts in general are expensive to set up and administer . Also can bring a lot of headaches later. Best to avoid them unless absolutely necessary/in certain specific circumstances.
I think your money mindset is made earlier on in life. I was used to having to save for things that I wanted, I was made aware of what offers were and how to evaluate them, and that patience often pays off. Despite not needing to consider any of those things now I still find myself spending cash in much the same way. I spent a good 15 mins looking at different prices of two tubes of grab adhesive last night to confirm I had the best price. Probably only saved me about 5 quid, but I figure that attitude with everything is useful. (well, to a degree! I probably take it too far in typical mse style)0
