HSBC, Barclays, Virgin & Nationwide hit by glitches

Pretty much standard that Nationwide have problems every payday. There have been multiple reports on here about it for months if not years. 

Just imagine the fun when Nationwide try to combine their ancient IT systems with the chaotic Virgin Money IT systems

Been with Nationwide for my main current account for 15 years, salary had gone in every month without a problem.

Think I’ve received a double payment today from a faster payment that I made yesterday (virgin money).

It looks like there are still some ongoing problems and some payments have failed and will need re-sending

I complained to VM about a failed payment to NatWest and they are refunding my bank charge and giving me £75 compensation. Well worth complaining.

I've never had a problem with Nationwide on payday.  All the banks have had problems now and again, and Nationwide hasn't had any more problems than any other bank or building society.
