I've had no issues using Virgin Money and Nationwide apps today, however paying into a Virgin Money account from my Barclays account took several attempts this evening, Barclays app throwing up a message saying call an 03 number quoting RP024, the number seems to be for Barclays PingIt.
Barclays app also not been loading up notifications for me either0 -
Just spoke with Barclays, basically they don't have a clue when their app is going to be fully working again, might be end of today/tomorrow, they admitted their messaging in app isn't upto date, apparently me dialling the PingIt number got me through to customer services department.0

I made several attempts to send money from Virgin to NatWest this morning to avoid going overdrawn at NatWest. Only one payment seemed to go through as only one amount of £150 left the Virgin account. However it has been showing as pending all day.
I contacted Virgin chat about 10 times throughout the day and asked to speak to a person. Each time it said a team member would be with me in a moment, but after 15-20 minutes they disconnected me. My chat history disappeared every time, so even though I raised a complaint I assume there will be no record. Hopeless customer service!
I had to send money from Santander in the end. At least that went through after a short delay of about an hour.0 -
Is it time we switched our advice from "always have at least one extra current account with another banking group, just in case" to "always have at least four extra current accounts, just in case"?
I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.2 -
Apparently according to Barclays every bank suffered problems with faster payments so maybe there's no actual solution?0

That being said if it wasn't for this thread I probably wouldn't have noticed this particular outage though.1 -
