I Hate Lloyds TSB!!!!

Options
I have a old Lloyds TSB trustcard which I have not used in a long time but I did not cancel it because I still had points with which I could get discounted Argos and Woolies vouchers. In November I ordered £95 worth of vouchers and and was told it would be a week which in itself is strange as it used to always be 2 weeks. No vouchers after two weeks and I phoned again and was told they should be there soon, another week no vouchers and another phone call and I was told they would investigate and they would phone me back - still waiting. The bill has duly arrived and I am so mad I feel like moving my current and savings account to another bank and want to vent my anger on someone who matters in the bank.
Advice welcome please

Why not vent your anger in the direction of the official LTSB complaints procedure?

Have a look around at other card point/rewards schemes like Necter or Tesco club points as they are the most widely supported you can quickly accumulate lots of points.
As for changing your account,an excellant idea, choose one that offers the most for your life style manage it online as it is less hassle generally.
I have had no problem with A&L or Barclays.
Previously known as Bokken, registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch, again.:D
  • Hi, noticed my online account said I had some charges  but didn't say what for.
Phoned 'that bank' using a freephone number I found on 'Say no to 0870' and told them I was not happy and I wanted all charges cleared and the card cancelled, the guy on the phone said he would put the account in query which means I shouldn't be hassled and he would credit my account £5 for inconvenience, which has been done.
Still looking into a better current and savings account. Trustcard even had the cheek to send me credit card cheques.

another credit card, poor guy was to scared to tell me because he knows how I feel about the bank, I only found out when the confirmation letter came in. He has signed up to their Airmiles Duo card, anybody got any comments about it, haven't got around to checking Martins views yet.

  • Is he not allowed to have his own opinion then?

It has taken over from Barclaycard as the no1 reward scheme card in UK.

Yep, although the bank is new to me I have to agree.

Opened a Reg Save almost a year ago and the current account. I use their Air Miles duo for general day to day stuff. So easy to administer on line. Call centre great, etc., etc.

So far as I can gather from the rather garbled OP, the complaint is something to do with a delay in posting some vouchers, and because of this you 'Hate LTSB'!

Why? Are you saying this is a deliberate policy of LTSB, rather than a failure of a member of staff? If not, I'm afraid you'll find that staff are less than perfect at all banks, I can't see that getting consumed with rage (at the bank and your poor husband) will change that, nor will moving your account every time they let you down in some way.

Have to say I agree with biggles.

Bank staff (including me) are not all perfect. We try but human errors do occur.
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

It's nothing to do with 'having his own opinion', in this household all financial decisions are made jointly, the same way all monies are joint and all cards are paid off monthly between us. He rightly or wrongly thought if he said yes to the card they would give him the service he was looking for, they didn't.
