If they have to be OE, then buy them from your local dealer.

Otherwise, get a reputable brand from somebody like https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/suzuki-swift-years-2018-to-2024-wiper-blades

I presume they aren't still the originals at 3yo? They really need replacing annually.

Change as & when required. If they are only lasting a year, then suggest cleaning the windscreen more often with some Rain X to keep it clean so wipers are not picking up loads of grit which will wear them out faster.

A quick google actually brings 6 to 12 moths as a change period. When you look at the links, either manufactures or retails outlets selling them... Mmm. Something odd about that 🤣

Let's just say that I definitely notice a difference with the new ones after a year. it's not about cleanliness or lack thereof. The blade is definitely harder, which can be felt with the fingers.

If they start smearing clean screen and clean blade.  Recheck, if still smearing replace blade.
My last 2 cars were replaced before I replaced the blades !

Also depends what sort of blades you are putting on... used to put budget ones on the Saxo and they did need replacing every year, then started using Bosch and they were still good 2 years later when I got rid of the car. The VW that replaced it changed them every 2-3 years with Bosch. On the Merc didnt change them in the 3 years we had the car, were starting to need to be in the last few months of ownership but couldn't be bothered reading the manual on how to replace them as the water jets for screen washing were in the blades themselves rather than on the front of the car.
  • Any particular reason for wanting to stick to the same brand rather than buy from the usual brands like Michelin, Bosch or Lucas? Plenty of places you just stick your reg in and they'll give you the options available
I've always bought bosch wiper blades but when I recently bought a bosch rear wiper blade it was worse than the one fitted to the car. Halfords say I need Bosch Aaerotwin AR20U/ AR19U but these have different fittings to mine and I've read a lot of reviews that they smears. Do you know anything about denso hybrid wipers as they look similar to mine.

Good chance the OE ones were manufactured by Denso. They are the Asia equivalent to Bosch in Europe and do OE parts for Suzuki, Toyota etc.

Most  blades these days come with multiple fittings

I only ever use Bosch wiper blades.
    Change them every 12-18 months.
I do clean them every week.
A cloth and a little rubbing alcohol.
First squeak on a rainy day. They are changed.
Try and find the pack number, 2 front blades.
Bosch A719S for eg. They fit my Peugeot.
I buy them from eBay when they have offers.
£21.99 today, not a bad price.

That's my thinking too. My Toyota Yaris (2014 French factory build), with a single wiper, has exactly the same fitment and blade assembly as shown. Although longer at 700mm(28").

    Sorry the thread is a couple of weeks old, but stumbled across this whilst looking for something else and thought I could help. The Suzuki OE blades are indeed manufactured by Denso as suggested above. However, there is no guarantee that;

    (A) If you buy Denso aftermarket blades (known for being expensive) that they will be the exact same rubber formulation and blade profile as the OE ones. Possibly, but not always.
    (B) If you buy Suzuki OES (i.e. "official" Suzuki branded) wipers from the main dealer, that they will be the same ones as on the car when it was new. Often the OES contract can be awarded to a different manufacturer than the original OE blades. However, they WILL have been through stringent testing to prove they match the original blade performance.

If you didn't want to buy Denso or OES, then the BLADES branded hybrid wipers on the wiperblades.co.uk site that someone mentioned above are a good replacement in terms of style/fitment for the OE blades. Alternatively you could buy any standard conventional type wipers that would be cheaper but don't have the same styling and built in airfoil, but they will fit.

For the Suzuki swift I actually wouldn't recommend flat type blades (e.g. the Bosch Aerotwins) as due to the curved edges of the windscreen you *may* find some issues with the whole blade length not touching the glass right to the very end.

    Hope this helps.
