Mobile phone….changing provider

My contract is with OneCom (a Vodaphone partner) and not Vodaphone directly. Does this cause any complications/issues using on line tools for this?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'online tools'. However, if you're looking to switch from OneCom to Vodafone and keep your number, this should be fine. Just request the PAC number from OneCom and give it to Vodafone when you sign up.1

It looks like onecom are a reseller of vodafone contracts so vodafone provide the service and onecom sells it on to you. As it is marketed as a business contract porting might be different to what it is for personal customers. If you can request a pac by text it will quite likely start VOD and you would have to give that to a different network, not to vodafone. On the other hand vodafone may have no record of you as an existing customer and be unable to change tariff without a new sim and a pac.
It may be worth switching to lebara for a month then porting back to vodafone. But it may not be straightforward to leave onecom.2 -
The normal rules around porting are different for business users. For example, the donating provider can charge for the PAC, the timescales are different and the text service is not compulsory (but a provider can use it if they wish).I’ve not used OneCom but generally for business users you need to give notice of leaving, you’ll agree an account end date, pay what’s due (generally a termination fee plus PAC charge plus any remaining monthly charges) then receive a PAC1
